About Alyssa
Alyssa Kaucher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Tucson, Arizona. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern College in 2019 and her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University in 2023.
Her professional experience includes community mental health, child welfare, hospice social work, and in-home services. These experiences have prepared her to support clients from a wide range of backgrounds, primarily adolescents ages 12 and older and adults.
Alyssa specializes in helping clients experiencing anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She is also passionate about supporting individuals healing from religious or spiritual abuse and those navigating spiritual deconstruction and identity exploration.
Alyssa prioritizes physical and emotional safety, client preferences, and the ways identity and cultural background can influence mental health. Her therapeutic style is empathetic, honest, creative, attentive, and consistent.
She uses evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and parts work. Her work is grounded in social justice, continued learning, and affirming support for marginalized communities.
Alyssa believes that a strong therapeutic relationship begins with feeling safe, respected, and understood. If her approach feels aligned with what you are looking for, she welcomes you to reach out.
